OUR HISTORY: Queen Bea's was established Juneteenth 2021 by Krystal Overton Salaam and Kaleema Overton Ameen. We named the store in honor of our mother Gloria "BeaBea" Long Harrell aka “the Queen Bea”. She was the owner of a custom bridal boutique, Sew-Fine Fashions in Elizabeth City, NC where she provided elegant and original formal wear for over 50 years. We were inspired to carry on her legacy of entrepreneurship and community service.
OUR GOAL: It is our hope to be a key part of the Hampton Roads community and to provide not only retail products that speak to our culture but to also provide educational and up-lifting events for the community. We bring a holistic approach to shopping where royal treatment meets the mind, body and spirit. We have created a relaxing atmosphere to browse our cultural clothing, books, jewelry, all natural personal care products & drums! Queen Bea's is dedicated to culture and self-expression!
